When purchasing a down comforter you should be concerned with three things:

• THREAD COUNT refers to the number threads per square inch in the fabric weave. The higher the thread count number the more luxurious the feel of the fabric.
• FILL or "fill" power refers to the quality of down in the comforter or pillow and is a measure of number of cubic inches 1 oz. of the down will "fill".
  • Snow White Down Comforters and Pillows have a fill power of approx. 350 cu. in. per ounce
  • Goose Down Comforters & Pillows have a fill power of approx. 55 cu. in. per ounce.
  • Hungarian Down Comforters & Pillows have a fill power of approx. 700 cu. in. per ounce.
• FILL WEIGHT is the total weight of down in the comforter of pillow - In general the higher the fill weight the warmer the comforter. Keep in mind however that higher quality fill power down is lighter so one of our Goose Down Comforters will be slightly lighter than our Snow White Down Comforters, and our highest quality Hungarian Down Comforters & Pillows will be lighter still.
